Rajasthan at Glance >> Rajasthan Forts and Palaces

The land of forts and palaces, the desert state of Rajasthan is one of the leading tourist destinations in India and perhaps the entire world. The tourists, both from India and abroad, visit the state for one or the other reason.

Majority of them visit Rajasthan to see the state’s many majestic forts and palaces which dominate the landscape of the desert state. These forts and palaces are located on high hilltops, right in the middle of vast deserts, and on islands in lakes.

Rajasthan Forts and Palaces showcase the rich architectural heritage of Rajasthan and still exude the charm of yesteryear. Though most of them may appear rugged and rough from outside, their interiors look so delicately created that the visitors are simply amazed.

Much interestingly, most of these historic monuments have been transformed into wonderful heritage hotels, complete with the latest and the most modern facilities and amenities. Widely known as the Heritage Hotels, these places are a good blend of the royal past and modern world.
